Assura partners with groups of GPs to form provider companies and deliver community based services which improve the patient experience. These locally situated, patient focused organisations, called GPCos, are long-term, collaborative partnerships between Assura and the GPs.
Giving choice
Our collaborative GPCo partnerships provide high quality enhanced services, diagnostics and out-patient services to patients in primary care and community settings.
The services provided aim to give choice to patients, often outside normal working hours, and have strict quality assurance mechanisms in place.
Working with the NHS
We enable the transition of primary care to embrace the new challenges which the NHS is facing. We have invested significantly in the development of our GPCo services through the evidence based redesigning of care pathways and clinical governance frameworks which can generate savings for the local health economy.
We provide a new way of working and welcome the opportunity to deliver more clinical services in the community.
Working in partnership
By working in partnership with existing GPs and health professionals, Assura can provide a much wider range of services and facilities closer to patients.
Our flexible building designs meet the service requirements of modern primary care provision and can accommodate services which were previously delivered in hospital environments. We ensure that patients have access to healthcare in well-equipped environments, located within their local community.
