Providing general practice

We are one of the leading providers of community based NHS services in partnership with groups of GPs. We have a network of over 25 GP provider companies (GPCos) across the country representing nearly three million patients.

We are currently developing the range of services that we provide in partnership with GPs to include core general practice in addition to those services which are transferring out of the hospital setting.

Together with our GP partners we provide a number of GP-led healthcare and walk-in centres which have a registered list attached to them as well as GP practices that are coming up to tender. We are keen to offer our experience of delivering first class primary care services to commissioners where they have practices that might be up for tender due to GP retirements, that are failing or where PCT provider arm run practices are being tendered as PCTs divest their service provider functions.

Our GPCos, with their strong local GP representation, are seen by commissioners as experienced and established local providers for these practices.
