Overview
Assura Leicestershire LLP is a partnership between 22 local GP practices and Assura Medical, a leading healthcare provider.
The partnership has been developed to create a GP-led provider organisation of NHS services by combining the clinical skills and expertise of the local GPs with the business and service expertise of Assura Medical. Our clinical models enable us to provide integrated care across whole pathways that deliver significant savings for commissioners and streamlined care for the patient.

Our Clinical Management Board (CMB)
The Clinical Management Board is responsible for the overall running of the partnership to ensure that the best possible service is offered within the community. The CMB also assumes responsibility for clinical governance and delivery of the business plan to the day-to-day responsibility of managing and operating the partnership.
Dr Ian Cracknell
Dr Cracknell is the CMB chairman and a GP at Maples Family Medical Practice.
Dr Helen Howes
Dr Howes is a member of the board and a GP at Station View Health Centre.
Dr Mark Findlay
Dr Findlay is a member of the board and a GP at Barwell Medical Centre.
John Clarke
John Clarke is the business director for Assura Leicestershire.
Our services
Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT)
Assura Leicestershire LLP is part of a consortium alongside Leicestershire Partnership Trust and Rethink, a mental health charity, delivering the new Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service, commissioned by NHS Leicestershire County and Rutland.

GP Practice Mentoring
The innovative scheme is designed to support GP practices in Leicestershire and Rutland who have been identified as having the greatest overspend on their Practice Based Commissioning (PBC) and prescribing budgets.

Leicester City Assist Practice
Leicester City Assist Practice is a medical centre specifically designed to provide eligible patients and asylum seekers with access to high quality healthcare within Leicester City. We offer a full general practice service giving patients access to a range of health professionals from 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
